    Just how can you do that?
    Let's count the ways.
    Love them.
    Nurture them.
    Feed them.
    Kept them healthy.
    Protect them from harm.
    Teach them how to avoid the every day dangers of life.
    Provide proper clothes for the various seasons.
    Teach them to read and write and speak English from birth onward.
    Teach them the value of doing their chores and reward them.
    Help them choose the right foods for their health.
    Teach them about camp fires, and the danger of fire.
    Teach them about the life all around them.
    Teach them about cats and dogs and other animals.
    Teach them about flowers and seeds.
    Teach them about various plants and their value.
    Teach them about breathing.
    Teach them about bathing.
    Teach them how to learn.
    Teach them about keyboards, and computers, and the values and the dangers.
    Teach them about radios, how to use, what to avoid.
    Teach them about television, how to use, what to avoid.
    Protect them from sexual predators.
    Protect them from bullies.
    Teach them to be honest.
    Teach them that not all people are honest.
    Teach them how to keep a personal diary.
    Teach them about money and how to make change.
    Educate them with jobs around the home for which they are paid. And more importantly teach them how to spend their earned money to buy necessities, toys, and what have you.
    Teach them the value of time.
    Teach them to read time on watches and clocks.
    Teach them the value of naps and sleep.
    Teach them the value of good friends.
    Get up very early some days and take them out into the countryside so they can see the stars at night.
    Take a telescope or binoculars so they can see the stars and planets.
    Give them a magnifying glass so they can see the small animals in the grass like ants, grasshoppers, and other very small animals.
    Teach them how to care for a pet.
    Teach them how to defend themselves with words.
    Teach them not to accept rides from strangers.
    Teach them not to go with strangers.
    Tell them about the police, and laws, judges and prisons.
    Teach them about the wide differences in justice.
    Teach them about the crimes of war and the destruction of property and people by governments.
    Teach them about creation.
    Teach them to become self aware of various parts of their own body.
    Teach them the meaning of basic useful words.
   When they are ready, teach them how to help you prepare food for their meals.
    When they are ready teach them about birth, life, and death.
  Teach them about the soul (living light) and the relationship to the physical body.
    Teach them how to teach.
    Teach them how to do research by asking questions, library research, internet research, schools, etc.
    Teach them how to use a dictionary.
    Teach them about the Earth, the water, air, land, plants, animals, countries, etc.
    Teach them about governments.
    Teach them about eyes, ears, touch, taste, ...
    Teach them about laughter, tears, smiles, pain, healing, etc.
   Teach them about brothers, sisters, mothers, fathers, aunts, uncles, cousins, grand parents, etc.
    Teach them about play.
    Teach them about rain, snow, hail, sleet, sunshine, wind, hot, cold, etc.
    Teach them about temperature.
    Teach them about body language that manifests in the eyes, smiles, facial features, body language, verbal language, etc.
    Teach them about role models, and how to select the very best starting with mother and father.
    Teach them that mother needs love, father needs love, children need love.
    Teach them about prayers.
    Teach them about the mind and how to use the mind to solve problems.
    Teach them that some animals are friends to humans, and some animals can be very dangerous and cause pain and death to humans.
    Teach how to recognize and avoid dangerous animals.
    Teach that hitting is not allowed, and how to avoid, and how to get help when being bullied.
    Teach by reading stories to your child every day.
    Teach by having your child read some stories back to you.
    Teach your child how to socialize with other children, other people.
    Teach your child how to dress self for bed, for play, for work, for fun, etc.
    Teach your child the days of the week, the months, and the years, and the seasons.
    Choose wisely the role models for your child.
    Take your child to a zoo.
    Take your child to a museum.
    Take your child to a park.
    Take your child to a beach.
   Teach your child how to roast hot dogs and marshmallows over a safe open fire. With supervision of course.
    Teach your child how to fish.
    Teach your child how to write, how to draw, how to work with clay, etc.
    Teach your child how to use safely a hammer, nails, a saw, tape measure, etc.
    Teach your child how a building is built by visiting daily a building under construction.
    Teach your child  some parts of his/her body is private and others may not touch the private areas.
    Teach you child how to bathe, brush the teeth, etc.
    Let your child teach you also. Children have a lot to teach. They are very aware.
    Teach your child to communicate easily with you.
    Teach your child about clothing and sewing, and the like.
    Teach your child how to protect itself with goggles, ear protectors, gloves, etc.
    Teach your child about still cameras, motion picture cameras, and video cameras.
    Teach your child the difference between reality and make believe.
    Teach your child about guardian spirits and winged angels of God.
    Teach your child about science and the physical laws.
    Teach, teach, teach.
    And in the process of teaching, you, the teacher will be learning too!
